Foreign Companies in India

For foreign companies in India
Your India finance function, reporting the way your head office expects
India is not a difficult place to operate. It is a difficult place to operate remotely, because the compliance obligations are numerous, state-specific, and enforced through portals that assume someone is physically present and paying attention. We act as the finance and compliance function for [[ Indian subsidiaries, branch offices and liaison offices of foreign groups ]] — running the local requirements to Indian standards while reporting to you in your GAAP, your template and your close calendar.
What we take on
1. Statutory books under Indian GAAP or Ind AS, plus a parallel reporting pack under IFRS or US GAAP
2. Indian payroll including PF, ESI, professional tax and Form 16
3. GST, TDS and corporate income tax compliance
4. ROC and statutory secretarial obligations
5. FEMA and RBI reporting created by your investment — FC-GPR, FLA, and the rest
6. Transfer pricing documentation for intercompany charges
7. Group reporting pack, in your format, by your deadline
8. Audit coordination with your Indian statutory auditor and your group auditor
What makes this work across time zones
1. A named contact who works [[ overlapping hours with your team ]]
2. All reporting in English, in your template, on your calendar
3. A single monthly call with the group finance lead, plus a written status report
4. Escalation to a senior professional without waiting for the next scheduled call
5. No requirement for anyone at head office to learn Indian compliance
Frequently Asked Questions?
Can you deal directly with our group auditor?
Yes. We prepare the audit support pack and respond to audit queries. We do not audit anything ourselves, which keeps the relationship clean.
Do we need a resident director?
An Indian company generally needs at least one director resident in India. We can advise on how groups typically satisfy this. [[ Confirm whether you offer any nominee arrangement — if not, say so plainly. ]]
We already have an Indian CA firm. Why would we add you?
Often you wouldn’t — you’d have us do the operational work and keep them for audit and attest. That combination works better than asking one firm to do both, because of the independence restrictions.
