Engagement Models

ENGAGEMENT MODELS & PRICING

How we engage, and how we price
Professional services pricing is usually opaque, which wastes everyone’s time — yours in enquiries that go nowhere, ours in proposals for work we were never going to win. Here is how it actually works.
Four Models

1. Monthly retainer — The common one.
A fixed monthly fee for a defined scope of recurring work. You know the cost, we know the scope, and neither of us is counting hours. Best for ongoing accounting, payroll and compliance. [[ Indicative range: ₹X to ₹Y per month depending on transaction volume, headcount, number of entities and states, and scope. ]]

2. Dedicated FTE — For firms and for larger operations.
One or more full-time professionals working exclusively on your account, directed by you. Priced per person per month. [[ Indicative: ₹X per FTE per month / $X for offshore engagements. ]]

3. Project — Fixed scope, fixed fee.
Backlog clean-up, ERP implementation, India entry setup, secretarial record reconstruction, FEMA remediation, a transfer pricing study.

4. Per-task — Transactional.
Per return, per filing, per entity. Best for low, irregular volume. [[ Published rate card, or “on request”. ]]

What we don’t Do or Price
No fee for the initial discovery call or the compliance health check.
No charge for the transition period beyond [[ … ]].
No exit fee, and no charge for handing back your data.
No surprise invoices. Anything outside scope is quoted and approved before we start it.

Contracting
A written engagement letter setting out scope, deliverables, dates, fees, confidentiality, data protection, limitation of liability and notice period. [[ Standard notice: 60 days either side. ]] [[ Standard term: 12 months, or month-to-month — state your actual position. ]]
